All KETER Tire products have passed the latest ECE R117‑04 standard validation, using European regulatory standards to verify overall tire performance and demonstrate KETER's continuous commitment to safety and quality.

ECE R117‑04: A Comprehensive Test of Tire Performance

ECE R117‑04 is one of the most important tire performance regulations established by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and is widely recognized in international tire markets.

This standard is not simply a basic compliance test. Instead, it evaluates tire performance under real-world driving conditions through comprehensive testing procedures.

Under ECE R117‑04, tires must maintain compliance with key performance criteria even after being worn down to the legal tread depth limit of 1.6 mm – including wet grip, rolling resistance, and external rolling noise.

Passing this standard represents not only compliance with European regulations but also demonstrates a tire manufacturer's advanced R&D capabilities and stable manufacturing system.

Wet Grip Index 1.54: Safety Performance Close to Grade A

The KETER UHP (Ultra High Performance) tire achieves a Grade B wet grip rating, with a wet grip index of 1.54 – only 0.01 away from Grade A standards.

Through optimized tread rubber compounds, drainage structures, and pattern design, KETER significantly improves wet-road adhesion, providing more stable support during braking and steering in rainy conditions. For family vehicles, commuters, and high-frequency users, wet performance is a real safety guarantee for everyday journeys.

Grade B Noise Performance: Balancing Durability and Comfort

The KETER HP series optimizes tread design and tire structure to control rolling noise at 69–70 dB, providing a quieter, more comfortable driving experience without compromising durability.

2+2+2+1 Flagship Reinforced Structure

KETER offers diversified tire construction solutions, including the flagship 2+2+2+1 reinforced structure:

  • Two layers of carcass ply

  • Two layers of steel belt reinforcement

  • Two layers of cap ply reinforcement

  • One reinforced sidewall layer

This structure enhances overall strength, optimizes tread contact rigidity, improves high-speed stability, and increases resistance against impacts and sidewall damage – achieving longer service life and improved handling.
